Leaving a career in finance I trained at the world renown IBTC Portsmouth gaining a C&G level 3 in boatbuilding (distinction) and the internationally recognised IBTC diploma (merit). I have worked on a number of successful wooden boat restorations and sailed many 1,000s of sea miles including racing at National, European and World events.

No boatbuilder could be without a canine companion, which is Luke's role and which he carries out with great aplomb. Luke didn't train at Portsmouth but is still very intelligent as he is part Labrador.
